IVR is interactive voice response. This is technology that allows a computer to interact with a human voice, typically over the phone. IVR is the software used for most automated call center responses. Where previous automated call center technology used the keypad to gauge customer responses and needs, IVR uses only the customer’s voice, making the interaction simpler and faster.
